What are the common errors on Obzervr Capture?
Errors on Obzervr Capture can stop you from further progress with your Work. These common errors can be related to the Work or the Capture App itself.
To sum up, we will address the four most common errors:
- Cannot move to other Measurements
- Cannot complete my Work
- Forgot Password
- Cannot synchronize the Capture App
What are the Work-related errors?

Cannot move to other Measurements
With Prerequisite Sections, you are asked to complete those covered in the red background before you are able to move on to other Groups or Sections.

Solution: Complete the Prerequisite Groups then move on to other Measurements.

Cannot complete my Work
Normally, you can complete Work without all the fields filled in. However, with Mandatory Field Measurement, you are unable to Complete Work without filling in those.

Solution: Navigate to the compulsory Group, input the necessary information and Complete the Work.
What is Capture App-related error?

Forgot Password

If you forgot your password and entered wrong log-in information, the I FORGOT MY PASSWORD button will be enabled. Simply select I FORGOT MY PASSWORD on the log-in screen so an email with the instructions to reset your password is sent to your email address that associated with your account.

If you have entered your log-in details wrong for 5 consecutive times, your account will be temporarily blocked for 5 minutes.

Sync error
The most common error when comes to the Capture App is Sync Error. There are different reasons for this, i.e an out-of-date version of Capture, unstable connection, etc

Solution
Try to click to Sync your device with a more stable connection. If the app keeps throwing Sync error, you can reset your Capture app. Check the steps below:

In the Obzervr Capture mobile app, click the menu.

Select Diagnostics.

On the Diagnostics page, select to undo changes since the last sync.

Click Yes to confirm.
You have reset Obzervr Capture. As the warning suggests, using the Undo changes button will remove unsynchronised work from the app. Therefore, it is extremely important that you do not reset if there is unsynchronised work on the device. It is only safe to reset when there is test data or no data on the device.
