Email notifications allows you to alert relevant individuals to new or changed exceptions and feedback in real time or as a daily summary, preventing the need for manual monitoring.
In this article, you will learn what you can receive email notifications on, who gets notified of each change, the types of notifications, and how to set up email notifications.

Setting up email notifications
Real time
To receive real time notifications, you will first need to set this up for your tenant. Individual users can still opt-in or opt-out according to their preferences.
Setting real time email notifications for your tenant

You will need to configure a webhook to enable this.
- On the sidebar menu, select ‘Integration’ and then the ‘Webhooks’ sub item
- Click on ‘Create’ on the top right hand corner of the page
- Fill in the fields as below:
- Name - Entity Real-Time Notifications (You can also change this to whatever works best for your organisation.)
- URL - https://hooks.ap-southeast-2.prismatic.io/trigger/SW5zdGFuY2VGbG93Q29uZmlnOmMyMTMxNGIwLTU3YTMtNGJmMS04MWQ2LWFiN2RmYjEwNjk1OQ==
- Verb - POST

The webhook should now be active and be enabled for your tenant. Learn more about how to manage webhooks here.
Controlling user specific settings
When this is enabled in your tenant, you are able to select whether a user can receive real-time notifications. To change this:
- In Console, open the user page from the list of users in the specific tenant
- Click on ‘Settings’
- Toggle ‘Receive Email Notification’ according to the user’s preferences
- Confirm the changes
The user will now receive or not receive email notifications according to what is set.
Daily summary
The daily summary is sent at 11pm AEST daily. You will need to contact Obzervr Support at support@obzervr.com to request enabling this.

Who gets notified when something changes?
Email notifications are available on exceptions and feedback, and other custom entities you may have set up, and can be configured to be in real time, or as a daily summary. Typically, the people involved in the exception or feedback get instantly notified, while supervisors receive the daily summary.

Real Time
Receive email notifications in real time when exceptions or feedback you created have progressed or are resolved. You will also receive these as items are assigned to or from you, or if your assigned items have changed in status or are commented on.

Daily Summary
At the end of each day, receive an email summary of all the changes to items you have created or made changes to throughout the day, along with a detailed list of changes to each exception or feedback. Team supervisors will also receive a summary of items created or updated by their team.
