When designing work templates or fragment templates in Obzervr, reoccurrences is a powerful, quick way to enable your field workers to do the same work multiple times.
However, how you define the reoccurrences in Designer can impact the user's experience on Obzervr Capture. A common question we receive is 'What's the difference between reoccurrences turned off, set to zero or one?'
Reoccurrences toggled off
Where the reoccurrence is toggled off for a group, this will automatically create a single page in the Obzervr Capture app, as seen below.
Designer:
Obzervr Capture:
Reoccurrences toggled on & set to one
When a reoccurrence is toggled on, it will automatically define the number of reoccurences to 1. This will automatically create placeholder reoccurrences for a field worker to quickly click into. This behaviour applies if the number of reoccurrences is set to another number, i.e. 2; there will be two placeholder reoccurrences available on the Capture app for a field worker to click into.
Designer:
Obzervr Capture:
Reoccurrences toggled on & set to zero
If the reoccurence is toggled on, but the number of reoccurrences is set to zero, no placeholder reoccurrences will be automatically created. This means the field worker will need to elect to create the reoccurrence before completing the fields.

These behaviours also apply for child groups.
