Security for Exception and Feedback Management is here!
Like the Work list, the security we have implemented will prevent unauthorised access based on your permissions and teams.
So let’s dive in!
Note: Not sure what Exception Management or Feedback Management is? You might like to learn more about Exception Management or Feedback Management first!
What are the new permissions?
There are three new roles in Console:
- Feedback Management (Read and Admin)
- Exception Management (Read and Admin)
- Entity Setup (Read and Admin)
Here’s what they mean:
Section | Permission | What it does |
---|---|---|
Schedule | Feedback Management Read | View and access |
Schedule | Feedback Management Admin | View, access and edit |
Schedule | Exception Management Read | View and access |
Schedule | Exception Management Admin | View, access and edit |
Build | Entity Setup Admin and Read | Can create entities (like Feedback and Exception Management) and edit statuses (i.e. Pending Review, Action Completed etc). |
How do the new permissions impact the Exception and Feedback lists?
The key actions you can perform in Feedback and Exceptions are:
- View the list
- Assign
- Update the status
- Comment
To access Feedback Management, you will need Feedback Management Admin or Read permissions.
To access Exception Management, you will need Exception Management Admin or Read permissions.
The permission allocated will update your access to either Exception Management or Feedback Management accordingly.
Read permissions allow you to see the list, whilst Admin permissions will also be able to action the list by assigning, updating the status and commenting.
However, there’s a bit more to when there are Teams involved!
If you’re in a Team, we update your lists to only show the info for your team. There are additional rules depending on whether you’re the Supervisor or member of a team.
The ways that your access can impact what you see on the list based on a team-based permission are:
- If you’re not in a team
- If the item is assigned to you
- If you’re a member in a team
- If you’re a supervisor in a team
- If you have the Teams Overseer role
- If you have a {Exception and Feedback Management} Admin role.
To read more about Teams, read Teams with Obzervr.
View the table below to see how your role will allow you to action the lists:
