What is the Location?

The location is where you are doing your job.

It has many different names, like Assignment Point, Functional Location, or Plant Item, for example. But for simplicity, we will stick to 'Functional Location' for now.

The Location Hierarchy is set up using the Manager Portal and displayed on Capture App as your Functional Location, which is a part of your Work.

The Functional Location drop-down is the most important. It will appear in the Work List. You will use this Functional Location to differentiate between your Assignments.

Why do we need Location in Work?

Because you are doing work somewhere and all the work you do is recorded with a timestamp and location.

So, creating Locations is the first of the three key steps to setting up a tenant in Obzervr.
