Wondering if there’s a quick and easy way to solve your problem?
Thinking of contacting of Obzervr Support? Give these five things a try:
1. Sync Obzervr Capture
You might not be able to see an assignment as you have not initiated the sync process on your device. This might be the case if Capture has been running in the background. You can sync by:
- Pressing the sync button on the Dashboard on the main Assignments page;
- Select My Assignments from the menu; or
- Log in.
2. Stop Obzervr Capture running in the background
With apps across all operating systems (i.e. iOS and Android), when you open an application and leave it using the Home button, it will continue to run in the background. This means that if enough apps are open on the device, it might start to lag a bit due to the background apps eating up the RAM. Your device might be struggling and need more RAM when you are working using Capture.
Exit Capture by pressing the Home button.
If you have an iOS device, double click the Home button and swipe to close the app from the list of applications running in the background.
If you have an Android device, launch the recent applications menu. This will differ depending on the device; for example, Samsung devices have the recent applications menu on the left side of Home button but Google devices have it on the right side.
Reopen Capture by selecting the app on the Home screen.
3. Log out and log into in Obzervr Capture
If you’re in an area with Wi-Fi, try logging out and logging back into Capture. This will reset your security token and run the master data sync for your assignment data.
4. Refresh your browser in Obzervr Manager
If you’re wondering why data recently sync’d from Capture is not showing on Manager, it could be that you need to refresh your browser. If you sync’d after you opened Manager, the browser will not be refreshed with the new data sent from Capture.
5. Update your version of Obzervr Capture
If Capture isn’t working, the issue could be that you’re not using the latest version of the app. In that case, you might be missing out on new features and fixes we’ve implemented.
Check the version number of your app by looking in the top left corner on the menu or logging out and checking the number at the bottom of the screen.
