Creating your Obzervr account |
The link to verify my email isn’t working. |
Contact an Obzervr Manager user and they will resend the verification email. You have 48 hours to verify your email address. |
I get a blank screen when I click on the verification link. |
The blank screen is usually due to a corporate firewall. Try using another internet browser or try a browser on your mobile phone. E.g. Safari or Chrome. |

Setting up your device |
How do I enable automatic updates? |
Access the App Store, Microsoft Store or Google Play on your device. Navigate to Settings in the menu and select Auto-update apps. |
How do I check that I allow Obzervr to use my Location, Camera & Storage? |
Access the Settings app on your device. Select Apps and scroll to Obzervr. Select Permissions and check that Notifications are Allowed, and Camera, Location and Storage are turned ON. |

Does Obzervr need any other apps? |
To view your Chain of Custody or Calibration Certificate, you need to have a PDF Viewer installed on your device. |

I forgot my password. |
There is an I FORGOT MY PASSWORD button which appears on the login screen after you enter the wrong username and password. Click on this button and follow the prompts. |
How do I work offline? |
You will need to enter your username and password when you have Wi-Fi. This will ensure that when you are offline, your credentials are saved, and you can access the app. |

Assignments page |
How do I sync? |
Click on the synchronisation icon on the top-right corner of the app to start the process. Do not select Start Upload on the Backup & Restore page. This is for troubleshooting sync problems. |
What’s the difference between Complete, Cancelled and Remove? |

What happens when I delete an assignment? |
You can only delete an assignment from the mobile app if 1) you created it and 2) you have not entered any data. If you have entered data, you will have to cancel or decline the assignment to remove it from your device. |

Create Site |
How do I create a site in the app? |
Navigate to the burger menu in the top left and select Create Site. Enter the Basin and Block / Field (or Unknown for both) and create the Site ID and Site Name. Select the Map to auto-fill the GPS coordinates. Select the Tick. |

How do I take photos? |
You can take photos in any Field Measurement, Task List or Series. Click on the Photos icon at the top-right corner of the Section and then the + icon to take a new picture or select an image from the gallery. |

When is the Chain of Custody sent to the Laboratory? |
The COC is sent to the lab when you select COMPLETE for an assignment. |
Trip vs. Assignment |
What is the difference and when would I use them? |
A trip is a set of Assignments grouped together either by route or by execution protocol. For customers using the Sampling module, the trip would be used to group a set of samples together to send a single Chain of Custody to a laboratory. This saves time and money. You can still use the Assignment level Chain of custody. Both options are now available. |

The Trip COC is sent to the lab when you select COMPLETE for a trip. |

How do I know when I am on the latest version? |
As Obzervr is a cross-platform solution, we operate across three platforms – Windows, iOS and Android. The first thing to do is to ensure you have automatic updates enabled and to check the version number in the mobile app under Settings or on bottom of the login screen. |
