There are specific roles which help Users to control access to creating and viewing Teams on Obzervr Manager. They are:
-
Teams Admin
-
Teams Reader
-
Teams Overseer
Teams Admin
The Teams Admin will give you read and write permissions for the Teams page. This means that you will be able to view the Teams menu in Obzervr Manager. You can also create the Teams.
However, note that if you want to view the Assignments for a Team, your User will need to be in the Team.
Teams Reader
Teams Reader is a Manager role which will give you read permissions for the Teams page. You will be able to view and access the Teams page in Obzervr Manager, but you will not be able to create a Team. To create a Team, you will need the Teams Admin role.
If you are just using the Capture app, then you don’t need to be a Team Reader or a Team Admin to be in a Team. You just have to added as a User to the Team.
Teams Overseer
The Teams Overseer role is a new, specific role developed for Teams. Teams Overseer allows Users to administrate across multiple Teams. This means that a User with the Teams Overseer role will be able to view Assignments and Trips even if the User is not in Team.
This could be useful if you administrate multiple Teams.
This is where the Teams Overseer role differs from the Teams Admin and Teams Reader roles. A Team Overseer will be able to see the Assignments across all Teams, but for a Teams Admin or Team Reader to view the Assignments in the Team, their User will need to be added to the Team.
Changes to the Tenant Administrator role
Tenant Administrators have the functionalities of the Teams Admin and Teams Overseer roles. Tenant Admins can view all Assignments across multiple Teams and can create Teams. Even if a Tenant Administrator is in a Team, they will be able to view all Assignments in all Teams.
