Work Title Rules Matrix

With the new feature that allows you to set the Title for your Work over the Work API, it is easier for you to identify the ones you need. However, in the case of the Title is empty, the Work title is dependent on if the Reference Feature is enabled.

So, in this article, we will hand you the Rules Matrix to when the Title is viewable.

Firstly, there are two definitions that you need to know:

Work Reference Feature - This feature enables you to see the Work Reference Number. You need to contact Obzervr to have this enabled for your tenant.
Title - This feature allows you to see the Work Title which is set only for the Work created over API.

In short, the basic rules are:

If the Title is Filled, the Work will have the Work Title displayed.
If the Title is Empty, the Reference Feature is ON, the Work will have the Reference as title (appeared on the first line of the Work).
If the Title is Empty, the Reference Feature is OFF, the Work will have the Functional Location (aka Assignment Point) as the title.

ON		FILLED		The Work Card should use the Title in the first-line. The Hover Details should have the Title as the first, larger, bold text, followed by the Reference and Function Location.
ON			EMPTY	The Work Card should use the Reference in the first line. The Hover Details should have the Reference as the first, larger, bold text, followed by the Functional Location.
	OFF	FILLED		The Work Card should use the Title in the first-line. The Hover Details should have the Title as the first, larger, bold text, followed by the Functional Location.
	OFF		EMPTY	The Work Card should use the Functional Location in the first-line. The Hover Details should have the Functional Location and Work Template as the first, larger, bold text.

ON		FILLED		The 'Name' column should use the 'Title' as the larger main link. With the Reference as the smaller sub-title

	OFF	FILLED		The 'Name' column should not exist, The Site Name columns should include the Site Name as the larger main link. With the Title as the smaller sub-title

Work Details Tab

ON		FILLED		The 'Title' should be the large, bold heading at the top of the screen. The Reference should be under the title, along with the Functional Location and Work Template.
ON			EMPTY	The 'Reference' should be the large, bold heading at the top of the screen. The Functional Location should be under the title, along with the Template.
	OFF	FILLED		The 'Title' should be the large, bold heading at the top of the screen. The Functional Location should be under the title, along with the Template.
	OFF		EMPTY	The 'Functional Location' should be the large, bold heading at the top of the screen. The Template should be under the title.
